In these unfortunate times with many temporarily out of work, the number of those in need of financial and food assistance is increasing daily right in our own community. Consequently, organizations like United Against Poverty (UP) are working to keep up with higher demand.

This inspired the P&B team to assist UP in restocking their emergency food pantry. While we hold food drives regularly, for the first time in this new normal we had to navigate hosting a food drive while maintaining safety and social distance protocols.

Due to the P&B team working from home, employees stepped up by virtually raising money. After all the money was raised our volunteer shopper went out to collect items for the pantry. Staff with extra supplies were also able to arrange to safely drop off items at our office. This led to us being able to donate over an entire truckload of items to UP’s facilities.

We are always thankful and humbled to work with such a giving team but are especially grateful for their continued efforts to support our local community during these trying times.
